I was recently invited by TechDept to speak at their inaugural Tech Off, and their far more eloquent blog of the night can be found here.
Third on the bill, I went into a bit of history about myself and the work I had been involved in, basically looking at how ‘invisible technology’ and barrierless entry is the key to experience. My closer was that I had managed to get my hands on a couple of the XOX bands, unveiled at Cannes this year, as part of the New Directors Showcase.
According to Dan @ TechDept, I took everyone on a ‘journey where technology and emotion fuse, to create experiences which elevate the mind and the mood, building data points throughout. He demoed an amazing wristband – the XOX emotional technology platform, as showcased with Saatchi and Saatchi at Cannes – which changes colour based on how you on your arousal and emotion, their service then interprets the data to show the intimate feelings of an audience in real time.’
